Lane Head

Lane Head is gone now, demolished in the mid 20th century I think, but you can still see the footprint of the building on the satellite image.

Lane Head is closer to Prys Level where there was a lot of development in the latter days of the mining operation at Hurst. Also close by are some shafts called Hillary Holes which date from 1782.
