Lane House

54.4112941,-1.910441 Map

Lane House only appears in the 1861 census. In the other censuses it was either unoccupied, didn't exist, or was known by another name or no name. It comes neatly in between Ing Head and Green Hurst in the schedule so places it where Pry House is marked on the 1854 O.S. map. By the time of the 1891 Ordnance Survey the building is marked unshaded meaning, I think, that it was derelict or had no roof. There was some confusion, errors, or changing of house names around this time maybe because later on into the 20th century, Pry House is marked to the east replacing what I hypothesise was previously called White Scar House.
